When I use the lens Im seeing some vignetting in the corners (see attachment). I would look at the pictures taken with the fisheye and call it stylistic, but it doesn’t add much to the photo. I recently bought a sony cx105 with two Opteka lenses. The Opteka 6.5mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lens offers an incredibly exciting perspective and takes photography to a range that exceeds the ability of the human eye.
OPTEKA FISHEYE MANUAL
Removing much less than 1mm with a file has now fixed the problem. Opteka 6.5mm f3.5 Manual Focus Aspherical Circular Fisheye Lens for Canon EF Mount DSLR Cameras Newly improved 2014, manual focus, digitally-optimized. Every once in a while I’ll really want to pull out the Opteka fisheye and put it on my kit lens, but it doesn’t do too much for me. When turned on fully tight there was still a tiny obstruction by the left hand petal that caused a "shadow" at the upper left hand edge of the image. Made specifically for the Century Precision Optics 0.3X Ultra Fisheye Adapter MKII (Mark 2) and is compatible with the Opteka 0.
I took a closer look at my lens hood today. Tadashi MKII / Opteka Fisheye Protector The MKII / Opteka Fisheye Lens Protector from Tadashi Filters fits over the front element to help protect it against damage while you shoot. Apparently this is a known issue with the Nikon F version. I got mine in Nikon F mount, and it sits a little loose in the adapter.The rather flimsy removable hood doesn't actually go on straight as they have the alignment detents, so it gives a couple of dark corners if you don't rotate it a degree or two.It's basically the Samyang 8mm, and resolves just as well with excellent flare control (as your shots also prove) and just a little CA.
